Drama and Dance Teacher

Rye Country Day School is seeking a full-time Drama and Dance Teacher. The teacher will teach 3-4 sections of Drama and Dance per semester, direct an after-school show, and participate in school and departmental meetings.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience teaching at the Middle or Upper School levels
• A bachelor's degree in musical theater, a bachelor’s degree in theater with dance or movement teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of professional experience with 5+ years working as an educator and artist.
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills
• A well-developed sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
