Lead, Cloud Engineer

The Cloud Solution Engineering team is seeking an outstanding Cloud Engineer to support our major technology migration efforts, maintain cloud infrastructure and support our GenAI initiative. The role is critical as we expand an already existing team with a lead in Canada. The aim of the team is to produce in-house capability of cloud solution engineering and reduce dependency on external teams.

Requirements

• Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud solutions using Azure and AWS platforms, utilizing Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Lead cloud migration and application modernization projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and facilitate between product teams and professional services to resolve blockers.
• Automate and optimize CI/CD processes using DevOps practices and monitor cloud infrastructure for optimal performance.
• Conduct migration cost impact analysis and support architectural reviews, assisting with remediation to standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting knowledge expansion and skills development.
• Manage and oversee the performance and career development of team members by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities to enhance team capabilities and individual career progression.
• Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging junior team members to participate in problem-solving and innovation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and integrate them into existing systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
