Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (SBHH) is a new facility located near downtown Sacramento. As the first newly constructed psychiatric hospital in Northern California in more than 30 years, this hospital offers 117 inpatient acute psychiatric beds, an outpatient treatment center, and a procedures clinic providing electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) and other interventional psychiatry services. We offer a full range of individualized treatment services, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for mental health and co-occurring (mental health and substance abuse) disorders. Additional services include mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, crisis intervention, consultation, education, and individual and group counseling.
Job Description
Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, safe patient care in an acute locked hospital facility. This RN role involves direct patient care, coordinating treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team, implementing treatment plans, and adhering to Santa Rosa Behavioral Healthcare Hospital's mission and policies. The RN will maintain a working knowledge of psychiatric standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Current California RN License
- Current CPR certification or obtained within 30 days of hire
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) obtained within 30 days of hire
- Knowledge and experience of psychiatric diagnosis and associated risks, medications, biological systems, nursing process, treatment planning, and leadership.
