Job Description
Samaritan Daytop Village operates transitional housing programs for single adults and families experiencing homelessness. The Case Manager assists clients in navigating the system, developing Independent Living Plans, and accessing resources to achieve stability. This role involves documentation, tracking progress, and advocating for clients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field is strongly preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in case management or social services with individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use, mental health challenges, or other complex needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to client confidentiality
- Familiarity with New York City's housing, healthcare, legal, childcare, and educational resources
- Problem-solving skills and a supportive approach to helping clients
