Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack - Vehicle Data Platform

Samsara is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Vehicle Diagnostics team and focus on building the products and platform for vehicle telematics data. The role involves leading technical discussions, collaborating with other teams, and driving the evolution of their diagnostic data platform. It's a fully remote position working for a rapidly growing IoT company dedicated to improving the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the global economy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional industry experience in software development
• Strong programming/coding fundamentals in a language such as Java, Python, or Golang
• Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems
• Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones with your team
• Experience with large-scale observability for production systems
• Experience shipping to customers or building platform
• Developed production services using Golang
• Experience fostering collaboration and camaraderie in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers to think critically about the right problems to solve and to think about their systems/solutions
