HVAC Mechanic

The HVAC Mechanic maintains, repairs, installs, and modifies heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, H.V.A.C. training, and four years of experience as a journey level HVAC or a journeyman in a related trade.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent plus H.V.A.C. training courses are required, plus four (4) years experience as a journey level HVAC or a journeyman in a related trade.
• Must be able to read and sketch basic diagrams, interpret plans and specifications.
• Must be able to follow job related oral and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to lift and move moderately heavy objects, up to 65 lbs. safely.
• Knowledge of applicable safety procedures and regulations required.
• Frequent kneeling and bending of the legs and back required.
• Be able to work at elevated heights such as roof tops, extension ladders, on scaffolding, etc.
