The Associate Scientist will work at the interface of engineering, biology, and bioprocessing to develop and evaluate next-generation technologies for scalable cell therapy manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a life sciences related discipline such as bioengineering, chemical engineering, biology or closely related field
- 2+ years of industry experience working with biological cellular systems and hands-on experience with cell and tissue culture across a variety of cell types, including adherent and suspension cells, as well as primary cells and cell lines
- Experience with cell analysis techniques: Flow cytometry, microscopy, mRNA expression profiling
- Competency in stem cell culture and T cell culture is preferred
- Comfortable with technology development, prototyping, and troubleshooting
- Comfortable working with complex technologies, for example, bioreactors, microfluidics, automation
