Job Description
SB Energy is seeking a Development Engineer to support the Development and Performance Engineering team in developing large-scale solar photovoltaic and energy storage projects. The role involves technical due diligence, project design, optimization, and collaboration with various teams. SB Energy is a rapidly growing company backed by SoftBank and Ares focused on providing reliable, affordable energy and technology solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Sciences degree
- 3-6+ years of experience with utility scale PV and/or energy storage system design and construction support
- Strong preference for design experience in MISO and PJM
- Experience in MS Office and PVSyst (or equivalent energy modelling software)
- Experience in AutoCAD and automation tools (e.g., PVCase)
- Strong engineering, design, communication skills
- Knowledge of utility-scale solar and/or storage project design and optimization tradeoffs
- Demonstrated technical problem solving
