Director of Automation, Systems and Controls Engineering leads and coordinates Schreiber US Automation, Systems, and Controls Engineering strategy. This role is responsible for developing and improving data collection, increasing automation, and adopting new technologies and systems to support operational efficiency, control, and performance of assets and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Masters/MBA in Engineering or related technical field is preferred
- Over 12 years of experience in leadership in a manufacturing environment
- Over 4 years of leading engineering teams
- Experience in strategic planning
- Understanding of industrial controls and components
- Understanding of functional design documents
- Database skills in tables, views, stored procedures, SQL queries, and reporting
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data to create useful and actionable information
- Understanding of automation and robotics as it applies to manufacturing and operational success
- SCADA, HMI, MES, Historian, Reporting/Dashboard, and Programming skills and/or strong understanding is required
- Experience with the Ignition SCADA Platform and the Perspective User Interface module is preferred
- Strategic Planning, Team Leadership, Cross-functional collaboration, Project Management, Financial Acumen, Technology Evaluation, and Ability to travel 20-40% primarily within the U.S.
