Application Specialist (Oracle)

This is a Senior Application Specialist role for Oracle Finance Technology Solutions, within the Finance segment of Scotiabank. The role involves deploying, managing, and maintaining Oracle E-Biz suite of Applications modules and integrating them with PeopleSoft GL. The Programmer Analyst - Advisory is responsible for developing and supporting Oracle E-Biz applications. The position focuses on business solution development, functional design, and testing of solutions, working with finance and other stakeholders to meet requirements and deliver successful results.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an Oracle E-biz Techno Functional consultant
• Must have experience as an Oracle EBS R12 Financials Functional and Technical (General Ledger, Financial Accounting Hub), SQL, PLSQL & Unix Shell Scripting
• OBIEE, Essbase and Hyperion exposure is an asset
• Strong Hands on experience in Implementation and Support of Financial Accounting Hub applications
• Ability to write functional requirements, use cases, and other analysis/design artifacts effectively
• Experience with user interface and design
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-directed - works effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to effectively work on multiple tasks
• Well organized, dependable, punctual, strong work ethic
• Fast learner and able to work to deadlines
