Job Description
Scotiabank is seeking a Lead Developer to join their team. This role involves leading and developing mainframe-based projects, working with FIS Profile Tool and supporting batch cycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mainframe systems, SQL, and experience working independently with a focus on customer-facing projects and providing solutions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Mainframe system, Languages and tools (COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, MQ, Endevour etc)
- Willingness to learn and update code using FIS Profile Scripting language
- 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development and supporting complex large-scale customer facing platforms.
- Financial banking experience (preferably in mortgage area)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Database
- Some Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX
