Gender Capacity Development Expert (m/f)

GIZ is seeking a Gender Capacity Development Expert to support the Ministry of Education and Culture in Mozambique's implementation of the System Capacity Grant (SCG) (3M USD), System Transformation Grant (STG) (107M USD), and Girls’ Education Accelerator (GEA) (10M USD). This role focuses on gender equality in education, with support from the National Directorate for School Health and Cross-Cutting Issues. The position involves assessing existing approaches, developing capacity development plans, providing technical assistance to policymakers, and conducting monitoring and evaluation.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in a related field
• Proven experience in gender training (strategy development, approaches, training delivery)
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English
• 10 years of experience in gender, with an emphasis on training
• At least 5 years of experience in technical support in the education sector in Mozambique
• Experience with donor coordination mechanisms and frameworks
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical support
• Previous experience in capacity building related to gender equality
• Experience with the implementation and monitoring of GPE-funded programs
