Job Description
SecurityScorecard is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the foundational systems powering their platforms. This role involves building scalable services, improving developer velocity, and enhancing team experiences in an Austin, TX office. The role requires both technical leadership and people management skills, working in an hybrid fashion.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend systems and platform services
- 5+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams
- Expertise in a modern programming language such as Node.js
- Strong systems design background with deep experience in performance, scalability, and reliability
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Strong fundamentals in computer science
- Proven success in mentoring engineers & delivering complex projects at scale
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to balance tradeoffs
