Job Description
SimpleCITI Companies is seeking a motivated and capable Legal Counsel to join their team, focusing on legal matters for funds and real estate. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and coordinating legal documents, ensuring SEC compliance, and supporting deal formation. This is an internal hire supporting the firm's growth.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school
- 5–8 years of legal experience in fund formation, SEC/RIA compliance, and real estate transactions
- Strong knowledge of Reg D, LLC/Series LLC structuring, and real estate documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage legal vendors and deadlines
- Comfortable with managing legal tasks and legal paperwork
- Familiarity with ERISA, 1031 exchanges, or Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs) is a plus
