Field Service Engineer

This full-time, permanent contract position is for a Field Service Engineer to cover the North West of Scotland. The role involves servicing and repairing Volvo construction equipment and identifying mechanical problems using advanced diagnostic equipment. Focus is on customer satisfaction, revenue opportunity creation, and profitability. The engineer should also manage parts orders, update software, and ensure efficient shop operations.

Requirements

• A formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural / HGV mechanics or related discipline (i.e. NVQ 3/C&G)
• Relevant experience in repairing and maintaining heavy construction plant
• Advanced diagnostic and trouble shooting skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and customers
• Ability to work with a cost-conscious mindset
• Problem solving skills
