Job Description
This position provides leadership and supervision for the Distribution Interconnections Planning team for the interconnection of Distributed Generation (DG) resources on Georgia Power’s Distribution system. This team coordinates inputs from various departments within Georgia Power, Southern Company Services and the Georgia Integrated Transmission System (ITS) Participants for proposed DG Interconnection requests.
Requirements
- Four (4) year B.S. Engineering Degree or Engineering Technology Degree highly preferred – Electrical preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning, design, operations, or maintenance of the electric transmission or distribution system is strongly preferred
- Distribution Planning experience and Georgia Integrated Transmission System (ITS) planning experience desired
- Specific experience related to generator interconnection process and implementation desired
