Backend Engineer - Subscriptions

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our team to build and deliver end-to-end backend solutions for our core systems, taking responsibility for the quality and maintainability of your code. We are a mature team with a good mix of investigation and implementation work and a lot of opportunities to lead initiatives of all sorts of sizes and complexity.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience building and maintaining scalable backend services
• Strong command of Java and experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Proficient with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and have hands-on experience with data systems like BigQuery and data processing pipelines
• Dependable engineer who thrives on taking complex, multi-part projects from concept to completion with a high degree of autonomy
• Strong collaborator who can effectively coordinate with peers to deliver on squad-level initiatives
• Proficient in data processing pipelines (e.g., using Scio or similar frameworks)
