Job Description
Southwest Power Pool is looking for a Programmer Developer II, Senior, or Lead to join their IT Markets team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the performance and efficiency of various applications and processes, ensuring that they continue to meet the needs of their operational teams. They will also collaborate with a wide range of subject matter experts to develop and implement technical solutions to any challenges that may arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Information Technology-related field or equivalent job-related experience
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, UNIX or Linux operating systems, application development and support, and database management systems
- Expert in one or more modern programming languages
- Expert troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Expert written and oral communication skills
- Expert working knowledge of SDLC and project life cycle methods and practices
