Job Description
This part-time Ophthalmic Assistant role assists an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist with basic patient care, performing visual acuity testing, pupillary evaluations, and diagnostic tests. The position involves ordering eye tests, basic diagnostics, and maintaining a clean and organized exam room.
Requirements
- Perform visual acuity testing, pupillary evaluations and diagnostic tests.
- Administer eye medications and irrigating solutions under supervision.
- Obtain basic medical history from patients.
- Complete order forms for supplies.
- Comply with OSHA and clinic policies.
