Job Description
St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is seeking a part-time Orton-Gillingham certified teacher for a Lower School teaching position in the Christopher Center Pathways Program. The school is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for students with dyslexia and a focus on academic growth. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (or related field) with coursework in childhood & adolescent development.
- Orton-Gillingham Associate-level certification required.
- 3+ years of teaching experience.
- Experience with students diagnosed with dyslexia, learning disabilities, and/or ADHD.
- Knowledge of Orton-Gillingham approach.
- Strong technology skills and experience with assistive technology.
- Strong interest in social studies/history and experience teaching them.
- Ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula.
- Establish a supportive classroom environment.
