Job Description
Stantec's Buildings team is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work independently on small and medium projects, as a team leader of larger projects, and for construction administration. The role involves evaluating, selecting, and specifying engineered systems/products for projects, leading junior engineers, and coordinating with other disciplines. The firm aims to be a world-leading integrated design practice focused on sustainable projects.
Requirements
- Evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems/products for projects.
- Develop job-specific discipline specifications for complex projects.
- Lead junior engineers in complex projects.
- Perform Construction Administration duties (field observations, RFIs, submittals, change orders).
- Calculate using company standard and proprietary software.
- Communicate design issues and solutions.
- Understand industry standard design processes.
