SENIOR CHILD PROTECTIVE INVESTIGATOR - 60075369 1

The State of Florida is seeking a Senior Child Protective Investigator to protect children. This position requires conducting investigations of suspected abuse, neglect, abandonment, and special conditions. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated advocate for vulnerable children, working with families and community resources to provide necessary support and interventions. This role involves case planning, risk assessments, and advocating for children in court.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Four years of law enforcement experience OR four years of active military service with a minimum of 1.5 years in Child Welfare OR a minimum of 1.5 years of Child Protective Investigations
• Current/Active Child Welfare Certification from the Florida Certification Board
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Experience in a child-focused or public safety context
• Knowledge of child development
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with laws and regulations.
