Seasonal Camp Director - New Haven

Steve & Kate's Summer Camp is seeking a Seasonal Camp Director to help run all facets of a self-directed camp. The job involves training staff, leading and inspiring a team, and overseeing day-to-day operations to keep things running smoothly, safely, and up to code. The camp is an 8-11 week program running from June to August, with training beginning in April. The ideal candidate is someone who appreciates the self-directed approach for kids, is comfortable navigating challenging interactions, and has strong leadership and multitasking skills.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• At least one of the following: prior season as a Camp Director, 16 weeks of Administrative or Supervisory experience in an organized camp, or completed equivalent Administrative or Supervisory training or experience in an organized youth program (thru ACA)
• Past management or leadership experience is required; experience hiring and managing teams of 5 or more is preferred
