Job Description
STR’s Video & Image Understanding (VIU) Group is seeking a Machine Learning Computer Vision MS/PhD Summer Intern to develop and apply deep learning or reinforcement learning techniques in computer vision, situational awareness, and autonomous control. The role involves collaboration with research engineers and academics, and evaluation of machine learning performance on practical data sets. STR fosters a collaborative learning environment and promotes technological advancement in national security.
Requirements
- Enrollment in an MS or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related technical discipline.
- Successful track record of applying machine learning algorithms to computer vision or autonomy problems.
- Strong academic record and interest in research.
- Experience in scientific software development with Python.
