Creep Fatigue - Engineering Consultant

SIA is seeking an Engineering Consultant to join their Nuclear Fatigue Management team, based remotely or in an office location. The role involves supporting projects in fatigue analysis, creep fatigue interaction, stress analysis, and software design and testing. Consultants will collaborate with clients to provide engineering solutions, manage projects, and contribute to proposals for development.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Materials Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the following fields:
• Operation of Nuclear Plant Systems
• Design Engineering (Construction Codes: ASME Section III Code - Stress and Fatigue Analysis)
• Programs Engineering including Inservice Inspection and License Renewal (Initial and Subsequent)
• EPRI awareness in Materials Programs (MRP, BWRVIP)
• Materials Degradation (higher temperature mechanisms, creep, fatigue, environmentally assisted fatigue)
• Experience with the Domestic US Commercial Nuclear Fleet Reactor Design (PWR/BWR)
• Computer Programming (ANSYS SimAI, Python)
• Experience with NRC regulations and business protocol
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations
