Sun Gro Horticulture is a prominent North American horticultural company seeking a Regional Industrial Engineer to support and lead initiatives related to growth, modernization, standardization, and improvement plans. The ideal candidate will be a strong change leader with experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments, project management, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in applicable field, such as Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• PMP designation preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience working in a fast paced, high mix manufacturing environment.
• Experience of managing projects over $1M per asset.
• Ability to use 2D and 3D modelling software such as AutoCad and SolidWorks.
• Automation experience with PLCs and electrical systems an asset.
• Strong change manager with proven experience to gain buy-in from employees on process changes.
• Good, concise, and adaptable communication skills are paramount.
• Ability to relate process improvement and change to positive financial business impact.
• Proven collaborator, able to work closely with a cross-functional, mixed-education team to solve complex problems with robust solutions.
