Job Description
Sun Gro Horticulture is seeking a Corporate Controls and Automation Specialist to transform legacy control systems in their North American manufacturing operations. This role focuses on modernizing plant automation, integrating new technologies, and scaling automation solutions. The position involves working with regional teams, integrating new automation technologies and supporting plant operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology diploma.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with brown field controls and automation upgrades.
- Expertise in Rockwell Automation (RSView32, FactoryTalk) and Inductive Ignition platform.
- Skilled in PLC logic, HMI screens, servo motion control, and safety PLC systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and controls diagnostic tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
