Student Success Counselor

SUNY Ulster County Community College is seeking a Student Success Counselor to provide academic and wellness guidance to students. This full-time, 35-hour-per-week position focuses on supporting students navigating academic challenges, case management, and facilitating student retention. The Counselor will serve as a primary point of contact and will work with students from admission to completion, coordinating with various resources and supporting their academic and career plans.

• Assist students in navigating access and maintenance of public assistance.
• Assist in connecting students to state and community resources.
• Implement proactive advising model.
• Develop and deliver programing related to state and community resources.
• Develop and Facilitate professional skills workshops
• Conduct student intake interviews and referrals.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, BOT policies, and professional standards of practice.
• Maintain compliance with confidentiality.
• Develop and deliver programing related to state and community resources.
