Job Description
Services for the UnderServed is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) to assess and monitor challenging behaviors impacting individuals with special needs. The BIS will work with people supported in the residential setting, providing direct behavior analysis, consultation with IDT, and coordination of paperwork. The role focuses on fostering self-determination and promoting success through problem-solving and resource mobilization.
Requirements
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Develop Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
- Coordinate with IDT team and obtain HRC approval
- Review and analyze data for FBA and BSP
- Attend staff meetings and clinical meetings regularly
- Track psychiatric appointments
- Participate on committees (IRC, HRC, ICC, CSET, Intake)
- Perform CSET assessments and write referrals
