Job Description
This Outreach Specialist position within the Veteran's Services program at SSVF (Social Security and Veteran's Files) is the primary initial contact point for Veterans and their families. The role involves outreach, providing engaging services, assisting veterans with accessing programs, and advocating for self-advocacy. They also maintain a caseload and contribute to the development of outreach plans.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel to outreach events and to engage Veterans
- Willingness to travel across various locations including homeless shelters and VA locations (up to 80%)
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours (including Veterans Day and occasional weekend hours)
