Requirements
- Administer and maintain VDI platforms (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops)
- Create, deploy, and update standardized desktop images and applications in accordance with configuration-control and cybersecurity requirements
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity; troubleshoot user connectivity issues; and implement corrective actions
- Apply security patches, group-policy updates, and OS/application baselines per DISA STIG and RMF requirements
- Coordinate with network, cybersecurity, and platform teams to integrate authentication, storage, and backup solutions into the VDI environment
- Support disaster-recovery planning and validation for critical workstation services
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and system diagrams
- Provide Tier II/III technical support and assist with user onboarding, training, and account provisioning
- Recommend improvements in VDI performance, scalability, and user experience through automation or modernization initiatives
- Manage VDI-related enterprise tools, including Horizon Connection Server, profile management, and image-automation platforms (e.g., App Volumes, Ivanti, or FSLogix)
