HVAC Chiller Technician

EMI Services is seeking a HVAC Chiller Technician to install, modify, and repair refrigeration systems for a military base in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC systems and an EPA Universal Refrigeration License.

Requirements

• Diagnose and repair refrigerant systems
• Cut and bend tubing to correct length and shape
• Test joints and connections in refrigerant piping for leaks
• Test and verify proper operation of components
• Replace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring
• Adds/removes freon to refrigerant systems to achieve proper subcooling and superheat
• Observe pressure and vacuum gauges and adjust controls to insure proper operation
• Wrap pipes in insulation batting and secure them in place with cement or wire bands
• Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates
• Assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques
