The Human Resources Director (HRD) is responsible for strategic workforce planning, HR Operations, talent acquisition, development, and culture. He/she focuses on minimizing turnover, managing SWB expense, and improving employee engagement, quality patient care, and patient experiences.
Requirements
- Lead the implementation of human resource programs and initiatives
- Manage goal/performance management, process/tools, manager and employee training, goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end evaluations
- Provide personal coaching of senior managers on people challenges, facilitate training, give constructive feedback, manage conflict, and perform performance management of low performers
- Identify specific pipeline gaps and training needs, follow-up with managers on specific 'to-dos' at individual and departmental levels, develop individual development plans, and oversee service-level agreements
- Review and modify employee handbook/policies/procedures, build a central online resource (Employee Resource Center), and oversee Employee Relations Specialist ('triage' person)
- Identify manager capability gaps and develop training and coaching to address such gaps, provide ER support for field leadership as needed, and help leaders set improvement targets and develop specific action plans
- Roll out training to managers, support integration of the tool into the manager decision-making process for candidates, and oversee recognition programs
