Tennant Company is a globally recognized leader in the cleaning equipment industry. The Business Development Manager position is responsible for selling Tennant equipment into new customer facilities in a defined geographical territory.
Requirements
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university; Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of two years of business experience in sales, or a sales like role.
- Ability to effectively present and demonstrate products and services to a wide range of buying influences.
- Strong aptitude for presentations, demonstrations and training
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
- Organize and prioritize business and activities to make the most efficient use of time and resources.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge with existing company technology.
- Time management and prioritization: balance time between post sales follow up, new account development, demonstrations, and ongoing support.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, conflict management, and aptitude to leverage various technologies to drive efficiencies.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.
- Willing to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining client service orientation.
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
- Consistent attendance either onsite or remotely as needed by the business.
- Ability to take direction and accept supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.
