We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care, evaluations, and treatment in a mobile school-based clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Science in Nursing or higher with national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and one year of directly related experience.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing or higher with national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- One year directly related experience serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Proficient with electronic health records (eCW preferred)
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Knowledge of standard nursing procedures and techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- American Heart Association – Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Experience working with individuals in rural or medically underserved communities
- Active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
- Active license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas with prescriptive authority and national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- CPR Certification
- State of Texas class 'C' vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
