Family Nurse Practitioner - PRN

Family Nurse Practitioner PRN position at Texas A&M University Health Science Center, providing direct care in managed clinics across various locations with a flexible and impactful role.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year directly related experience serving as a family nurse practitioner.
• Active license as a Registered Nurse and as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, in the state of Texas with prescriptive authority and national board certification as a family nurse practitioner.
• At least five years of clinical nursing experience is required.
• American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and electronic health records, some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
• Familiarity with electronic health records
• Knowledge of standard nursing procedures and techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to use and manage an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
