Job Description
Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women is seeking an OB Assessment & Triage Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role involves assessment, planning, education, implementation, and evaluation of age-appropriate care, incorporating family-centered principles and cost-effective strategies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and team-work skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Current licensure with the Board of Nursing (Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact)
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- One (1) year of professional nursing experience
- Knowledge of nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, ACLS, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate unit specific equipment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in ICU (preferred)
- Respiratory fit testing
