Job Description
The Department of Teacher Education at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time 9-month academic appointment Assistant Professor of Practice in Teacher Education for K-12 Special Populations with an emphasis in ESL or Special Education or both.
Requirements
- Developing, teaching, and researching the effects of theory-based program and curricular interventions for increasing teacher candidates' instructional competency for Special populations
- Taking a leadership and collaborative role in Special Populations
- Working with instructional faculty to ensure high-fidelity implementation of research-supported improvements around quality of delivery and content in Special Populations
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Special Populations in both face-to face and online formats
- Collaborate on research projects
- Mentor students in professional and career preparation, and liaise with professional contacts and entities on behalf of the department or program
