Job Description
The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists in the preparation and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and department personnel. Responsibilities include preparing medication, assisting with medication filling and labeling, performing IV preparation, dispensing medications, and maintaining pharmacy operations. The role involves utilizing technology and adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Prepare medications according to physician orders.
- Prepare and label intravenous admixtures and other sterile products.
- Assist in dispensing medications and maintain inventory of medications.
- Complete Ohio State Board requirements for medication sales.
- Maintain pharmacy supplies and operate the RX computer system.
- Follow departmental and hospital safety policies.
