Job Description
Under direction, the RN-Lactation Consultant provides clinical expertise and resource to staff, patients, and families for the provision of breastfeeding, lactation education, and education for the mother/baby couplet. Utilizes the nursing process and all services provided are based on evidence-based practice.
Requirements
- Current CPR certification and neonatal resuscitation certification
- Lactation experience
- Certified Lactation Specialist with completion of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification
- Associates Nursing degree
- One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience as a registered nurse
