Associate General Counsel

The National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Medicine are seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal advice and assistance on a range of legal issues and policy matters. The incumbent will handle routine to complex legal projects, lead or provide legal research, and draft and review legal documents.

Requirements

• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of regulatory framework applicable to government contractors and the non-profit sector
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work within a complex organizational structure
• Ability to manage and maintain privileged, sensitive, and confidential information and corporate matters
• Ability to solve intellectual problems of substantial variety and complexity
