Job Description
The New School is seeking an experienced Director of Counseling Services to provide clinical and administrative leadership for a multidisciplinary mental health team serving 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The Director oversees a training program and serves as a university-wide resource for student mental health and wellness.
Requirements
- Clinical psychologist PhD or PsyD or PhD in Social Work or PhD/PsyD in psychology
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience post degree
- Experience supervising clinical staff
- Experience building and sustaining a supportive and cohesive staff environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Minimum of 5 years administrative experience
- New York State licensure required
- Strong multicultural framework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
