Job Description
This program provides specialized mental health care for individuals involved in the criminal justice system or at risk of offending, offering assessment, treatment for NCRs/FTSTs, and treatment for those convicted of offenses. It operates in Ottawa and Brockville, Ontario.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Up to 3 months of Nursing Experience
- Knowledge of mental health/addiction issues
- Clear understanding of MHA and relevant legislation
- CPR certification within the last 12 months (BCLS at a minimum)
- Evidence of continuing professional education
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Problem solving, leadership and management skills in responding to complex and rapidly changing situations
- Sensitivity, skills and experience working with diverse individuals and communities
- English level A- is mandatory
