Job Description
This program provides specialized mental health care for individuals involved in the criminal justice system or at risk of offending. The program includes assessment and treatment for Not Criminally Responsible (NCR) or Unfit to Stand Trial, as well as those convicted of an offense. Services are offered in Ottawa and Brockville.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Up to 3 months of Nursing Experience
- Knowledge of mental health/addiction issues
- Clear understanding of MHA and relevant legislation
- CPR certification within the last 12 months
- Evidence of continuing professional education
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Problem solving, leadership and management skills
