Editor, U.S. News/Cross Format

Reuters is seeking an experienced and talented editor to drive U.S. news coverage for our national news file, including stories ranging from natural disasters and school shootings to national politics. The editor will directly manage several reporters located across the United States and will focus on the big news stories of the day and week while also developing enterprise work on deeper issues such as education, religion or criminal justice.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of U.S. political and general news
• At least five years of editing experience at a major news organization
• Strong work ethic, team spirit and excellent organizational skills
• Strong journalistic and management skills
• Experience working closely with colleagues in pictures and video on coverage of stories
