This full-time, hybrid position focuses on developing and implementing algorithms for electro-mechanical processes in industrial machinery, primarily metal rolling mills. The engineer will design, verify, and implement software to control industrial machinery, collaborate with teams, and provide commissioning reports. They will also work with testing and simulations to ensure project requirements are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering with control automation coursework, computer engineering, materials science, physics or related field or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience designing and/or commissioning process automation/models software in heavy industry
- 2 years’ High-Level Programming Language, such as C++ and object-oriented programming experience using the Microsoft development environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25%
