This Adjunct Instructor position at College TUNY, based in New York, NY, focuses on teaching program courses to graduate students. Requirements
- Teach graduate course sections (on campus and online) in one or more of the following areas: child/adolescent development; assessment; teaching students with disabilities; literacy instruction; math and science instruction; educational technology; history and philosophy of general and special education.
- Current certification in Early Childhood Education and in Special Education
- Successful classroom teaching experience, Birth – Grade 2, of diverse students
- Successful graduate-level teaching experience, face-to-face and/or online
- Successful leadership experience
- Experience in course and program design
- Successful experience supervising degree candidates in clinical field placements, if assigned for clinical supervision
- Commitment to culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogy
- Knowledge of NYSED teacher certification examinations
