Lead Java Engineer

As a Lead Java Engineer at XTM, you will lead one or more cross-functional Scrum teams and take full ownership of both their technical delivery and day-to-day operations. You will work closely with Product and other stakeholders to ensure that engineering efforts align with company goals, while also setting the technical direction and maintaining high quality standards across the teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role (e.g., Engineering Manager or Tech Lead)
• Strong foundation in software engineering and software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring development; familiarity with React, AWS, and microservice architectures is a strong plus
• Proven experience hiring, developing, and retaining diverse technical talent
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Experience working closely with product managers and other business stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken
• Fluency in Polish is a plus
