Job Description
The Marine Vessel Operations Deckhand will work on the USS Abyssinia in Andros Town, Bahamas, supporting the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC). This full-time, 5-day/week position requires relocation to the island and full-time coverage of flight and lodging by the Navy. The position involves various maritime functions, including cargo handling, rigging, maintenance, and vessel preparedness.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- USCG STCW Certification (1+ year)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid passport
- Ability to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
