Job Description
Bowhead is seeking a Telecommunications Mechanic II to provide base telecom support at the Puget Sound, WA Shipyard and satellite locations. The role involves operating and maintaining government-owned telephony switches, ensuring system stability, and supporting voice and data services. The position requires a Secret clearance and a commitment to upholding DoD/Navy standards.
Requirements
- Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX)
- Troubleshooting and repair of switch issues
- Software updates and patching
- Installation and configuration of switch hardware
- Support for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment)
- Travel to remote locations weekly
- Maintain system operational and compliance with DoD/Navy standards
